Solvent-based wood paint: Uses organic solvents as thinners; the film-forming substances are typically natural or synthetic resins. Its advantages include high film hardness and wear resistance, though it has a longer drying time (usually 6–24 hours) and contains volatile organic compounds (VOCs), making it relatively less eco-friendly.


Water-based wood paint:Uses water as the thinner; the core components are water-based resins (such as acrylic or polyurethane emulsions). Its notable advantages are high environmental friendliness (low VOC content) and rapid drying (surface drying takes only 1–2 hours), though the film hardness and chemical resistance are slightly inferior to those of solvent-based paints.


PU paint (Polyurethane paint): A two-component coating that cures through the reaction of a base component and a hardener. It offers extremely high film hardness (up to 3H or higher) and excellent wear and scratch resistance; it is commonly used for high-end furniture and flooring, though application requires strict mixing ratios and is more technically demanding.


UV paint: Cures rapidly via ultraviolet (UV) irradiation; it forms a thin yet hard film. While suitable for assembly-line production, it involves high equipment costs and is primarily used in industrial manufacturing.
