Blistering: Often caused by excessive wood moisture content (which should be kept below 12%) or an overly thick coating; requires sanding followed by recoating.
Blushing (Whitening): Prone to occurring with water-based paints in low-temperature, high-humidity environments; can be remedied by adding an anti-blushing agent or raising the ambient temperature during application.
Insufficient Abrasion Resistance: For PU paints, the curing agent must be added in the correct ratio; for water-based paints, performance can be improved by increasing the number of coats (e.g., two base coats and three topcoats).
