Iron-based Phosphating Agent

Winsir Iron-Based Phosphating Agent WSIP-1 is a room-temperature, low-sludge iron phosphating solution. After treatment, steel surfaces form a dense film. The film color ranges from golden yellow, blue, reddish-brown, to iridescent. This iron-based phosphating agent has excellent compatibility with electrophoretic, powder, and paint coatings. It improves adhesion, impact resistance, bending resistance, and deformation resistance. The process is simple. No surface conditioner is needed before phosphating. It works at room temperature with a wide operating range. No separate accelerator addition is required. Bath testing and adjustment are minimal with this iron-based phosphating agent.

Winsir Iron-Based Phosphating Agent WSIP-1 is a light green liquid. The density at 20°C is 1.02 to 1.15. The concentration is 5% to 8%. The working bath pH is 2.0 to 3.0. Treatment temperature is room temperature. Treatment time is 3 to 10 minutes for immersion and 1 to 5 minutes for spray. This iron-based phosphating agent has very low pollution. It contains no sodium nitrite or hexavalent chromium. Most phosphates participate in film formation. Bath ion stability is good. Sludge is minimal and operating costs are low.

Winsir Iron-Based Phosphating Agent WSIP-1 follows a standard process. The flow is degrease → running water rinse → rust removal → running water rinse → phosphating → running water rinse → drying. For bath preparation, fill the tank halfway with water. Add the required amount of concentrate and mix well. Fill to working level and mix again before use. As processing continues, total acid and free acid decrease. The pH rises. Add fresh concentrate regularly to maintain the bath pH between 2.0 and 3.0. For additional rust protection, a post-phosphating passivation treatment can be applied.
