Winsir Epoxy Zinc Rich Paint uses epoxy resin as the base. Zinc powder is the main anti-corrosion pigment. The zinc content ranges from 10% to 75%. The zinc particles are 800 mesh or finer for high density. This epoxy zinc rich paint provides cathodic protection. Zinc has a lower electrode potential than steel. It oxidizes first and protects the steel from electrochemical corrosion. The zinc particles form a dense physical barrier. They block water, oxygen, and corrosive media. The zinc particles also maintain electrical contact for continuous electrochemical reactions.

Epoxy Resin with High Zinc Content

 

Winsir Epoxy Zinc Rich Paint delivers excellent anti-corrosion performance. Salt spray resistance reaches hundreds of hours. Brine resistance (3% NaCl) lasts 500 to 800 hours without blistering or peeling. The temperature range is wide. It withstands 100°C continuously and 200°C for short periods, such as during welding. For construction, this epoxy zinc rich paint dries quickly. Tack-free time is under 2 hours. Hard drying takes under 24 hours at 25°C. Welding burn width is less than 15 mm. It does not affect welding performance. Mechanical properties include level 1 adhesion per cross-cut testing, hardness of HB or higher, and impact resistance of 50 kg·cm or higher.

These include bridges, ships, offshore platforms, military equipment, airports, petrochemical storage tanks, and pipelines. It is also used on industrial equipment, chemical machinery, mining equipment, and power facilities. For maintenance, it works well for steel structure refurbishment and weld repair. Surface preparation requires sandblasting to Sa2.5 grade. Low temperatures below 5°C cause curing difficulties. The cost is higher than ordinary anti-rust paints.
