Epoxy Urethane Top Coat

Winsir Epoxy Urethane Top Coat is a high-performance two-component coating. The main component is hydroxyl acrylic resin. It provides weather resistance and adhesion. Weather-resistant pigments like titanium dioxide and carbon black are used. Additives include leveling agents and defoamers. The hardener is an aliphatic isocyanate like HDI or IPDI. This epoxy urethane top coat cures through crosslinking between hydroxyl and isocyanate groups. It combines decorative and protective functions. It is the topcoat of choice for outdoor heavy-duty anti-corrosion applications.

Winsir Epoxy Urethane Top Coat delivers excellent weather resistance. It has very strong UV resistance. It maintains color and gloss for 5 to 10 years outdoors. The film does not powder or yellow. When used with epoxy primers, salt spray resistance exceeds 1000 hours. This makes it suitable for marine and chemical environments. For mechanical performance, the film hardness is high at 2H or higher. Adhesion is level 1 per cross-cut testing. Abrasion resistance is good with 500g/1000 cycles showing wear below 0.05g. Impact resistance is 50 kg·cm or higher. The temperature range is wide. It handles 120°C for short periods. Long-term service ranges from -40°C to 80°C.

Winsir Epoxy Urethane Top Coat resists water, salt water, oils, weak acids, weak alkalis, and some solvents. The film is full and glossy. Gloss is adjustable and can reach 90% or higher for high gloss. Many colors are available for decorative needs. A typical anti-corrosion system includes epoxy zinc rich primer at 50 µm, epoxy mica intermediate coat at 80 µm, and this epoxy urethane top coat at 60 µm. This provides over 10 years of corrosion protection. For special substrates like aluminum and galvanized steel, sandblasting or chemical treatment is needed to improve adhesion.
