Aliphatic Urethane Acrylate Without TDI
Winsir CCDIY UV Resin uses aliphatic isocyanate (IPDI) with polyester or polyether polyols to synthesize the prepolymer. It is then end-capped with hydroxyethyl acrylate. The appearance is a clear to slightly yellow liquid. At 25°C, the viscosity is 1,500 to 3,500 centipoise. The functionality is 2 to 3 and is adjustable. Density is about 1.08 g/cm³. This CCDIY UV resin contains no organotins or TDI. It meets REACH regulations. We recommend radical photoinitiators like TPO or 819 at 1% to 4% addition. It cures quickly under 365 nm or 405 nm LED lamps. Curing shrinkage is 3% to 6%, which can be adjusted through formulation.
Toughness and Yellowing Resistance Data
Winsir CCDIY UV Resin delivers excellent toughness. When formulated with other monomers like IBOA and HEMA, the 3D printing resin achieves 30% to 50% elongation at break per ASTM D-638. Izod impact strength is 40 to 60 J/m per ASTM D-256. Printed parts are durable and do not shatter easily. For low viscosity and fast printing, the formulated resin can be as low as 300 centipoise. It works well with DLP or LCD high-speed printers. Under 50 mW/cm² UV light, gel time is less than 1 second. Print speed is fast with good interlayer adhesion. For precision and surface finish, curing shrinkage is low at 3% to 6%. Printed edges are sharp and supports are easy to remove. Surfaces can be polished to a mirror finish. For yellowing resistance, the aliphatic structure keeps ΔE below 3.0 after 500 hours of QUV. This CCDIY UV resin works well for light-colored or transparent products.
