Bulk UV Resin

PP and PE plastics are hard to coat. Ordinary UV paints peel off easily. Winsir Bulk UV Resin is a functional additive. You only need to add 5% to 20% to your UV coating. It makes the film grip PP, PE, glass, or metal firmly. We helped a cosmetic packaging factory in Zhejiang. They sprayed UV varnish on PP bottles. It kept peeling. After adding our bulk UV resin adhesion promoter, their cross-cut test achieved level 0. This product meets ASTM D-3359 adhesion standards.

Winsir Bulk UV Resin uses phosphate-modified polyester acrylate technology. It contains strong polar groups that form chemical bonds with difficult substrates. The appearance is a pale yellow to light brown clear liquid. At 25°C, the viscosity is 1,000 to 5,000 centipoise. Functionality is 1 to 2. The acid value is 30 to 80 mg KOH/g. This is the key parameter for adhesion promotion. This bulk UV resin has 100% solid content and no solvents. We recommend using it with radical photoinitiators like TPO or 819. It cures under 365/395 nm LED or mercury lamps. Because the acid value is high, you need to consider its effect on pigment dispersion stability.

Winsir Bulk UV Resin delivers significant adhesion improvement. On PP substrates, UV coatings without this resin show level 4 adhesion with large peel areas. Adding 10% of this bulk UV resin adhesion promoter improves adhesion to level 0 with no peeling. It works broadly on PP, PE, POM, metal, and glass. No primer is needed. At low addition levels of 5% to 10%, it has little effect on hardness, flexibility, or chemical resistance. The resin contains acrylate double bonds. It participates in the UV crosslinking network and does not migrate to the surface.
